Dr. Unterman graduated with his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. Dr. Unterman completed his residency and advanced eye surgery training at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. During his fellowship at the Louisiana State University Eye Center in New Orleans, LA, he specialized in diseases and surgery of the cornea.
Dr. Unterman and his wife Ellen have two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys restoring sports cars.
